Bio

Yawara MacNeill begins her first season as a part of the coaching staff at  Southwestern College for the 2024-2025 academic year.

MacNeill is a native of Chula Vista, CA, and coached for two years at her alma mater, Olympian High School. While attending Olympian, MacNeill started all four years as a part of the Ladies’ Varsity team. During her senior season, MacNeill was named to the Academic All-Conference Team.

She grew up playing at Coronado FC and in her junior year became a member of Rebels Soccer Club (Premier Elite G2001) who won the National Cup, Coast Soccer League Championship, and the California Regional Championship in 2017.

She then continued her athletic and academic career at D1 St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Health Sciences and Spanish. During that time she was named to the 2019 NEC Academic Honor Roll and NEC Commissioner's Honor Roll, as well as served as representative for her team in SAAC (Student Athletic Advisory Council).
