2025 Season Preview: Southwestern Women's Soccer
CHULA VISTA, CA – Southwestern College women's soccer is set to begin the 2025 season on Friday, August 22, with a home contest against Mt. San Jacinto at 6:00 PM in DeVore Stadium.
The Jaguars were dominant last season, leading to the program's 19-2-1 overall record. The team went 13-1-1 in conference play and earned a first round bye and top 8 seed in the 2024 3C2A Women's SoCal Regional Playoffs. Expectations remain high entering the 2025 season.
The upcoming season marks the twelfth season under head coach Carolina Soto. The program has established a foundation for success and aims to maintain their top tier status and claim its third Pacific Coast Athletic Conference title in 8 seasons, having achieved this feat in 2018 and 2022.
The JAGS
The SWC women's soccer team enters the 2025 season with several key returners and a group of exciting newcomers. Throughout camp and the preseason they are all working extremely hard, coachable and on the same page on and off the field. It's a collection of technical skill, tactical awareness, physical fitness, and leadership that should make for another formidable team. The Jags have 9 sophomores along with 2024 PCAC Goalkeeper of the Year, Aaliya Campbell. In addition to returners, there are new transfers and 23 freshmen many of whom can contribute right away including Sensimina Salas, Daisy Velez Barron, Melany Perez, Karli Harward, Vianey Romo, and Alina Aparicio.
2025 Season Schedule
The Jaguar women's soccer team and head coach Carolina Soto have 21 games on the slate, including five non-conference games against Mt. San Jacinto, Santiago Canyon, Fullerton, Chaffey and San Bernardino Valley. This team is ready, each and every piece of the talented roster is excited to debut.
