Men Track & Field Shines at Cuyamaca Invitational

The Southwestern College track and field team delivered standout performances at the Cuyamaca Invitational, with multiple athletes achieving personal records (PRs) and season-best marks.

Brandon Guerra clocked a PR in the 1500m, finishing in 4:20.84. Alejandro Vargas and Jorge Montalvo put in strong efforts in the 3000m, crossing the line in 10:23.02 and 10:38.04, respectively.

Gabriel Dagnino impressed in multiple events, securing 6th place in the 100m with a PR of 11.31 seconds. 5th place with the 4x100m relay team, finishing in 45.20 seconds. 5th place in the long jump, leaping 6.42m (21'0"). Jacob Shaw matched his season best in the triple jump, securing 4th place with a mark of 12.50m (41'0").

Marcus Barksdale set PRs in all three of his throwing events: Shot put: 8.95m (29'4") Discus: 25.81m (84'8") Javelin: 25.25m (82'10") Jayden Dulatre his throwing teammate also captured a PR in the Javelin with a throw of 19.72m (65'0")
