CHULA VISTA – The Southwestern College men's basketball team defeated Palomar 78-68 at home on Friday evening, snapping a 4-game losing streak and earning the Jaguars first win of 2024. With the win, the team improved to 8-10 on the year with a 3-3 mark in PCAC play. The Jags three conference losses are to teams with a combined PCAC record of 15-0 with two of three defeats occurring on the road.
Southwestern was led by Kevin Davis (12 points, 13 rebounds, 4 steals) Ayden Lockett (11 points) and Kaleb Wilson (8 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks).
On Wednesday, January 17 the Jaguars welcome the Cuyamaca Coyotes to Southwestern. Tipoff in the South Bay is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. and the game will be streamed LIVE with Bowe Fertig calling the play-by-play.
